A Tough Life for Singles Around the World

Making Love, not War

I saw these two articles today:

Shortage of suitable men in Gaza – Hamas is getting into the matchmaking business. Besides their well-known terrorism activities, Hamas acts pretty much as a “ward healer” to bring social services (at least when the local populace is not engaging in destroying infrastructure given to them by the Israelis or Western countries). Since there seems to be a shortage of middle class men in Gaza (wonder why?), Hamas is stealthily trying to find matches for the women.

Shortage of women in China – China’s “one child” policy has worked so well that the country is now experiencing a shortage of women (often due to sex-selection-related abortions). The article to which I linked tells of a man who paid a lot of money to marry a woman and then was dumped after a week or so.

Do you see where this is going? ;)

So let’s match some of these Gaza women with the Chinese men. My guess is that after a few decades, especially if the women go live in China, we’ll be a lot closer to achieving peace in the Middle East! In addition, if the Chinese men are happier, maybe we’ll have better relations with that government as well. Besides, the Chinese will be able to keep more of their accumulated income, and you know how wealth builds health (and a peaceful, growing economy).

My other “shorter distance” idea to help the Chinese men is to have the Beijing government allow single North Korean women to escape into mainland China if they agree to marry the single Chinese guys. With that kind of a mass exodus, the North Korean government will implode pretty quickly. Even if they don’t, they’ll run out of soldiers and slave labor in just a few decades!

With all the big bucks that they pay Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, why doesn’t she (or at least Joe Biden, who has nothing better to do anyway) think of this stuff?

Counter-Protest Sign

Hat tip: Powerline

Zombietime has some great pictures up of the stinkfest known as "Recreate 68." A few counterprotesters showed up; here is an excellent sign:

I thought you guys at UCV would enjoy this one especially!

“Barack Obama and Tony Rezko Both Grew Up in Muslim Countries”

How Does That Sound?

The Democratic National Committee created a shameful ad that kept trying to tie Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) to Jack Abramoff and made repeated mention of Cantor’s religion. So I was thinking, let’s turn the tables and do this to Obama. What could we get?

“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Barack Obama and convicted felon Tony Rezko both grew up in Muslim countries. . . "

We can make other variations:

“Barack Obama and hate-monger Louis Farrakhan both are black.”

“Barack Obama and indicted Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick both are black.”

“Barack Obama and radical William Ayers both support terrorists.”

The Democrats screamed bloody murder about the “Willie Horton” ad in 1988 (in which Republicans accused Democratic candidate Michael Dukakis of releasing violent criminals on furloughs too readily. Ironically, Al Gore was the first to make an issue of Willie Horton, who happened to be black.) It’s funny how the racial identity politics of the Democrats is starting to bite them back. Somehow they see nothing wrong now with going after Jews, but hey, what have the Jews done for the Democrats recently?

More to the point, the Democrats do not have any kind of sensible policies when it comes to taxes, energy, or national security. So they have to create this side show on race to distract attention. The past century is full of tragic examples of what happens when politicians harness racial animosity to gain or retain power. Really, I didn’t think the Democrats would get this bad, but maybe these kinds of actions are the logical result of these kinds of strategies. (Note that the Democrats are now even attacking former Soviet Jewish dissident Natan Sharansky.)

I would like to thank my fellow conservative bloggers, such as Mason Conservative, Right-Wing Liberal, The Write Side of my Brain, Shaun Kenney, and Virginia Virtucon, and many others. Note to I’m Surrounded by Idiots: The Obama campaign isn’t totally surrounded by Jew-haters. Some of the Obama campaign’s advisors appear to be self-hating Jews.

Gaza, Georgia, What’s the Difference?

Terrorists for Obama

Pamela at Atlas Shrugs has received some interesting paperwork concerning contributions to the campaign of Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. It turns out that contributions form the Rafah refugee “camp” in Gaza were marked with the State abbreviation “GA” to make them look like they came from Georgia. A one day set of contributions on October 30, 2007 totals more than $7,000. Isn’t that more than American citizens are allowed to donate?

This makes me wonder if more foreign contributions are being funneled “Clinton style” through immigrant communities in the U.S.

More suspicious contribution information here and here. Note that contributions are not in even dollar amounts. Foreign currency conversion, maybe?

“Hey! I Resemble that Remark!”

Barack Neville Obama Doth Protest too Much

By now we’ve all read about President George W. Bush’s speech before the Israeli Knesset, in which he said:

This struggle is waged with the technology of the 21st century, but at its core it is an ancient battle between good and evil. The killers claim the mantle of Islam, but they are not religious men. No one who prays to the God of Abraham could strap a suicide vest to an innocent child, or blow up guiltless guests at a Passover Seder, or fly planes into office buildings filled with unsuspecting workers. In truth, the men who carry out these savage acts serve no higher goal than their own desire for power. They accept no God before themselves. And they reserve a special hatred for the most ardent defenders of liberty, including Americans and Israelis.

And that is why the founding charter of Hamas calls for the "elimination" of Israel.
And that is why the followers of Hezbollah chant "Death to Israel, Death to America!" That is why Osama bin Laden teaches that "the killing of Jews and Americans is one of the biggest duties." And that is why the President of Iran dreams of returning the Middle East to the Middle Ages and calls for Israel to be wiped off the map.

There are good and decent people who cannot fathom the darkness in these men and try to explain away their words. It's natural, but it is deadly wrong. As witnesses to evil in the past, we carry a solemn responsibility to take these words seriously. Jews and Americans have seen the consequences of disregarding the words of leaders who espouse hatred. And that is a mistake the world must not repeat in the 21st century.

Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided." We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history. (Applause.)

[Emphasis added.]

We all know that Barack Obama and his allies on the left have taken the President’s words rather personally, as if the President were calling Senator Obama an appeaser, even though the President did not mention Senator Obama. What is so funny is that there are plenty of elements within Israeli politics that are appeasement oriented.

Bruce Ramsey, the editor of the Seattle Times makes excuses for Obama this way (via Little Green Footballs, emphasis theirs):

Democrats are rebuking President Bush for saying in his speech to the Knesset, here, that to “negotiate with terrorists and radicals” is “appeasement.” The Democrats took it as a slap at Barack Obama. What bothers me is the continual reference to Hitler and his National Socialists, particularly the British and French accommodation at the Munich Conference of 1938.

What Hitler was demanding was not unreasonable. He wanted the German-speaking areas of Europe under German authority. He had just annexed Austria, which was German-speaking, without bloodshed. There were two more small pieces of Germanic territory: the free city of Danzig and the Sudetenland, a border area of what is now the Czech Republic.

See also more comments from Ace of Spades.

Remember the joke that was told about the French a couple of years ago? It went like this – FRENCH TERROR ALERT! The French have raised their alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two levels higher than these are “Surrender” and “Collaborate.” Well, it seems that today’s leftists have gone pretty much from “Surrender” to Collaborate.” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) characterized our efforts in Iraq as “lost” pretty recently, and many foreign policy advisors in Sen. Obama’s Presidential campaign team are open sympathizers with the terrorist group Hamas. And let’s not get into the actions of the unhinged left, as enumerated by Concrete Bob.

Can’t any of them recognize our successes, or at least express a desire for us to win? I guess not, which may explain why the good young Senator, and his apologists, doth protest too much.

Islamic Rage Boy Interns at the Associated Press

Reason for Legal Nasty-gram to Snapped Shot Discovered

It has by now become a sad, yet well-known fact that one of our fellow Old Dominion Blog Alliance colleagues, Snapped Shot, has received a “cease and desist” letter from the Associated Press. What was not known until today was the primary motivation was the research done by the AP’s newest intern, one “Islamic Rage Boy,” a young man depicted on several blogs including Snapped Shot.

The young man, whose full name is not known to Westerners but often goes by the nickname “al-Ghotfuqr,” has told his manager, Priti H. Doshi (AP’s Corporate Counsel), that he perceives images of him posted on Snapped Shot to be less than flattering. “I was very fortunate to land this internship,” said IRB. “While I do not have any experience in Western legal customs, this provides an excellent opportunity to understand the system we want to destroy, er, reform to achieve diversity standards. I warn all such ‘blogs’ to be very careful of these unflattering depictions of the faithful, or else you, too, will be slammed with Allah’s wrath, er, I mean, you will receive warning letters from the Corporate Counsel.”

When asked how one would know in advance what photos would be acceptable, IRB added helpfully, “Please feel free to write Priti H. Doshi at pdoshi@ap.org or call him at 212-621-RATS (7287). Everyone should inquire immediately in order to avoid such blasphemy, er, incidents, in the future.”

Documentary evidence from The Nose on Your Face seems to support the existence of IRB’s new employment. “Besides,” said PA President Mahmoud Abbas, “al-Ghotfuqr was a favorite of the late Yassir Arafat, and he is giving us the most interesting information about the New York subway.”

Make Jimmy Ride the Bus!

Hat tip: Riley, Not O'Reilly

Jim Webb votes against protection from nuisance lawsuits against anti-terrorism tipsters.

What also funny is how these limo leftists never take public transporation, either. Or even look into it, for that matter. See, if Virginia's junior Senator bothered looking at the web (not Webb) page of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, he might have found the safety brochure with these important statements:

“If you see someone acting suspiciously, find an unattended package or witness anything unusual, stay away from it and tell the bus operator, train operator or station manager immediately.”

AND

“Recent events make it even more important for you to be our partners in safety. Show your patriotism by helping us keep Metro safe and secure.” [Emphasis added.]

Let's just say that allowing nuisance lawsuits does not help "keep Metro safe and secure."

So now Jim Webb (and his left-wing Democrat-ICK cohorts) is unpatriotic by Metro's standards?
